WHY THIS GUIDE EXISTS

About Kitesurfaddict

Kitesurfing comes with a lot of questions. The point of this site is to make the useful answers easier to find.

Kitesurfaddict is an independent guide by Antonin Cohen. It started as a French-language resource, with guides about learning, equipment and kite trips. Those subjects still belong at the centre of it.

The English guide brings them into one place, alongside progression, riders and competitions. You can start with your first lesson, figure out a skill that is giving you trouble, or look into a place you might want to ride.

Useful before impressive

A beautiful lagoon is a good reason to get interested in a destination. Knowing which part suits your level, how the tide changes it and who to ask locally is what makes the guide useful.

That is the approach here. Specific information, practical questions and honest limits. No fictional equipment tests, invented travel stories or claim that one place is the best for everyone.

A guide you can follow

The learning guide puts the basics in order. Progress connects individual skills. Spots and travel separates the destination you visit from the actual place you launch.

Equipment advice should help you make a better decision, including the decision to wait before buying. Rider and competition pages explain what you are looking at and point to official records when a result matters.

The French guide

The French edition covers the same twenty core guides as the English edition. The language link opens the equivalent article. Established French guide addresses remain supported.

Corrections are welcome

Access changes. A school changes its offer. An event moves because the wind does not cooperate. If something is wrong, send a correction with the page and a source if you have one.

The editorial approach explains how research, sources, commercial references and updates are handled. You can also find Antonin at antonin.co.
